In order to have a rest comfortably, we need to create a place to sit down on our balcony or in our garden. If we do not have enough space for seating furniture, a usual sunbed or even a seating made of a pallet or a wooden chest will be suitable. It is important to achieve a nice and cosy place to have a rest. Apart from soft and comfortable pillows, it is good to have a bed cover or a thin blanket to cover during colder summer evenings. A small table will also be useful, especially when we want to drink iced coffee or other favourite cold drink. If our balcony or our garden is a very sunny place, we should invest in a sunshade or a different sun protection.
Without doubt, plants and flowers are one of the most important things on our balcony or in our garden. Their colours and smell will help us to calm down and let us have a rest after a hard day at work. It is good to think about a variety of colours and shapes of our plants and flowers. Let's make our balcony full of life and joy. Hanging flowerpots with petunias, geraniums or begonias will be a perfect solution on a small balcony. In this case, it is also useful to have clinging plants, which will be a nice decoration of a balcony handrail. They will create a cosy and peaceful atmosphere there, too. If we want to create a natural green curtain of plants or flowers very quickly, we should use sweet pea, morning glory or clematis. We need to remember to pay attention to the insolation, which our plants like or dislike. A lot of plants such as e.g. lavender, geranium or evening stock need a lot of sunlight. That is why, they will grow well in the southern balcony. On the other hand, if we have a balcony with little sunlight, we can plant ivy, busy Lizzie or fuchsia on our balcony.
Colourful and decorative accessories in bright and summer colours are an inexpensive way to create a unique character on our balcony or in our garden. We can use decorative flowerpots or cups. It is aslo a good idea to put a decorative traycloth on the table and colourful pillows on the sunbed.
