Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about this category

What is a foam sofa?

A foam sofa is a piece of lounge furniture made entirely of upholstery foam – with no wooden frame, springs or legs. It is light, has no hard edges and arrives compressed in a box, so it needs no assembly.

Which foam sofas does Pillovely offer?

Kamelia (figure-of-eight shape) and Lunaria (half-moon shape) – each for indoor use in POSO corduroy in 34 colours, and as an outdoor version in HARRIS outdoor fabric in 6 colours. All measure 200 × 100 × 70 cm and have a sleeping function.

What foam are Pillovely foam sofas made of?

N3045 polyurethane foam certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, CertiPUR™ and ISO 14001. The foam has medium firmness and returns to its original shape after use.

Do the foam sofas turn into a bed?

Yes. When unfolded, every sofa gives a 200 × 130 cm sleeping area – enough for one or two people.

What is the maximum load of a foam sofa?

The sofas are designed for a load of about 110–130 kg per person.

How is a foam sofa delivered?

The sofa arrives compressed in a single box measuring 151 × 37 × 37 cm, so it fits through narrow doors and staircases. It weighs 29 kg, needs no assembly and regains its full shape within about 24–72 hours of unpacking.

Can the cover be washed?

Yes. The cover comes off with a zip. The POSO corduroy cover is machine washable at 30°C on a hand-wash programme, without chemicals.

Can a foam sofa be used in the garden?

Yes – that is what the outdoor versions of Kamelia and Lunaria in HARRIS outdoor fabric are for. They are best placed under a small roof and not exposed to heavy rain.

Where are Pillovely foam sofas made?

In Poland. Each sofa is made to order and ships within 2–10 working days, and you have 30 days from delivery to return it.
