The days are getting shorter, and the darkness is conducive to reading about the recesses of the human soul.

To start with, I'd like to introduce you to a series by Swedish crime novelist Camilla Lackberg.

A series that stayed with me for a long time, after picking up one volume, I couldn't wait to read the next. All volumes are connected by the main characters Erika Falc and Patrik Hedström. Each volume, of course, is a different crime/series of crimes, and each volume also features a multitude of flashbacks and connections to the past, as evil grows in hiding, undisturbed.

Allow yourself to enter the world of a small seaside town on the west coast of Sweden, and I promise you won't regret it. Just be warned: each book in the series is addictive and will leave you wanting to read the next one.

You don't have to take my word for it – check out the opinions of other readers on the website lubimyczytac.pl, who, like me, were captivated by this extraordinary story.

I really enjoy the atmosphere of Scandinavian crime fiction – a well-developed social plot, an intriguing mystery, familiar characters. The narrative clearly conveys the feeling that "The Prey" was written quite a while ago, and yet I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and couldn't put it down. Although this time I managed to guess some of the clues and connections, I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

The second volume of Camilla Läckberg's crime series is even better than the first. It's gripping from the start, making it hard to put down. My only slight criticism is the ending, which, for me, was a bit too confusing and convoluted, like, "it's him, but it's not, but it is, and maybe not, but it definitely is." Overall, I highly recommend it and will definitely read the next installment in the series :)

The third and so far best in Camilla Läckberg's crime series. While I guessed the killer quite quickly, I still found myself thoroughly immersed in the story with each page. I highly recommend it!

How to clean a mattress? Home remedies for stains, dust mites and unpleasant odours

A mattress sees more than any other piece of furniture in the house — sweat from night sweats, morning coffee drunk in bed, cat hair from a cat who stubbornly chooses the same spot for a nap. The problem is that while we change our bedding regularly, it's easy to forget about the mattress itself — until the day we notice a stain or feel that something in the bedroom smells different than it should.
