"Sailing is the art that teaches us how to adapt to unfamiliar situations" Admiral Horatio Nelson

World War II - a naval battle between an American destroyer and the Japanese fleet. After sailing into a squall, the crew of the American destroyer Walker realizes they have sailed into another, parallel world.

A world where humanity never arose, dominated by two races: intelligent mammals resembling lemurs and intelligent reptiles, who are, of course, at war with each other. Will the crew of the Walker choose one side and contribute to one side's victory? Or, as nature often does, will the odds unexpectedly even out?

A series not only for sea wolves, but due to the fact that the writer is a historian of naval battles, every fan of these issues should have no objections in terms of the "professionalism" of this reading.
Five volumes in our native language. Unfortunately, the next ten haven't been published in Polish, but if you want it, you can have it. The series didn't make me seasick; quite the opposite, I can confidently recommend this somewhat mash-up of "Sliders - The Fifth Dimension" and "Sea Battles: Clash of the Titans."

Finally, as always, we will also check out the opinions of readers on lubimyczytac.pl:

A bit of a boring beginning, but the further you go, the better. I think the second volume is better, but that might be because I bought this book as an e-book in English, and I read the second part not only a long time ago, but I also received it for St. Nicholas Day (maybe graduation?) from a friend at a phototechnical school. It was in Polish and was made of some of the best paper I've ever experienced (I still have this book on my shelf, and its quality still stands out compared to several hundred of my other books).

This book was chosen somewhat at random, but I'm completely satisfied with it. So much so that I'm currently finishing Part 4. The action is fast-paced (with a few exceptions), and the flora and fauna of the parallel world are also incredibly detailed (this will be especially noticeable in subsequent volumes).

I stand by my opinion of the first part of the adventures of two destroyers in a parallel world. The book is written with a light touch. It's a quick and enjoyable read. I recommend it.
