"Gods die when they are forgotten. People do too. But the land, it remains. Good places and bad. The land never goes away." - Neil Gaiman, American Gods

What if Gods only live thanks to us and our faith in them?

Neil Gaiman, a person involved in fantasy on all fronts, presents such a concept in his story.

We have "Shadow," who is released from prison, and the mysterious Mr. Wednesday, who involves him in a journey across the States.

We have a series of murders in a small town and a completely different perspective on all mythologies we wouldn't have thought of.

But most importantly, we have a novel that tells of transience and the conflict that arises between the new and the old.

Let's check now what other readers from Lubimyczytac.pl think about "American Gods":

I like books written from the perspective of a character who himself has gaps in knowledge, then I am forced to try to solve puzzles independently, and here it's not easy to find solutions, the series is on par with the book, it's worth checking out both

Just as good fights evil for centuries, so does the old fight the new. If in the first case good usually triumphs, in the second it's hard to name a winner. And Gaiman brilliantly showed this. Thank you, master!

How to clean a mattress? Home remedies for stains, dust mites and unpleasant odours

A mattress sees more than any other piece of furniture in the house — sweat from night sweats, morning coffee drunk in bed, cat hair from a cat who stubbornly chooses the same spot for a nap. The problem is that while we change our bedding regularly, it's easy to forget about the mattress itself — until the day we notice a stain or feel that something in the bedroom smells different than it should.
