PAROS Fabric

There is no single fabric that is best for everyone. The choice depends on your lifestyle, and synthetic fabrics and blends are currently considered the most durable. Pay particular attention to the Martindale test result, ideally above 45,000 cycles, and to the material’s additional properties.

100% PES on the label means the product is made entirely of polyester. PES is the international abbreviation for this synthetic fibre.

Upholstery trends focus on cosiness, eco-friendly solutions and distinctive textures. Soft plushes, natural materials and retro inspirations are particularly fashionable.

The most practical sofas are in mid-tones such as dove grey, sandy beige, light brown, marl or olive. Very light and very dark colours are harder to keep looking good, as dust, stains and fine particles show up more on them.

PAROS is an upholstery fabric made of 100% polyester (PES), 145 cm wide. It is intended for upholstering seating furniture and beds.

Yes, PAROS achieves 50,000 cycles in the Martindale test. This is high resistance, suitable for intensive everyday use of furniture at home.

PAROS has a pilling rating of 5, the highest on the scale – the fabric shows virtually no tendency to pill. Colour fastness to rubbing, dry and wet, is 4–5.

PAROS has high light fastness (6–7), so it keeps its colour well even in bright, sunny rooms. The fabric is also flame-retardant, which increases the safety of the furniture.

PAROS fabric weighs 270 g/m² (±10%). It is a relatively light fabric that drapes easily over furniture, yet it still offers high abrasion resistance (50,000 cycles).

PAROS works well on sofas, corner sofas, armchairs and upholstered beds. Its abrasion resistance of 50,000 cycles and high pilling resistance make it suitable for furniture used every day.

It is best to vacuum PAROS fabric regularly using a soft brush attachment. Blot stains straight away without rubbing, and remove more stubborn marks with a cloth dampened with a mild soap solution.
