Harry Hole - a tough nut to crack, or perhaps a lost soul?
One thing is certain: despite the obstacles life throws his way and the increasingly complicated cases, he remains effective at what he does. This series is undoubtedly a classic of crime fiction. Alongside Harry, across 13 volumes, we traverse crime scenes from sun-drenched Australia through humid Thailand, ending in icy Norway.
Regardless of the weather, in each of these places, Harry must contend with ruthless adversaries playing cat and mouse. The fact that he battles himself daily doesn't make it any easier.
